GFX Card Decision...

Thread Starter
I've been out of the PC game for a long time and I've lost all sense of what is and isn't the best, or at least half decent.

I'm trying to find a graphics card for preferably sub £200 to play BF3 on Ultra at 1680x1050.

Current rig:

Intel Core i7 920 @ 2.67GHz
EVGA GTX 260 SSC ()
Antec TruePower Trio 550W
EVGA X58 SLI Mobo
3GB Dominator DDR3

I'm going to be buying a new watercooler to OC the CPU and 8GB of Corsair Vengeance in time for BF3 release.

Any help will be appreciated.

Anything from a 560Ti - GTX580 would be the way I would go.
at 1680x1050 I think a GTX570 should be under your belt and leaves plenty of room for SLI should you need moar pawa

If you can find a GTX 570 for a good deal, I'd get that one. Should do very well in BF3 on that rez.

Even with rebates its hard to find a gtx570 under $300,
the best two cards that fits the budget are:
hd6950/gtx560ti.
Hope this hels!

GTX 570 if you can find it in that price range.

If not get a 6850.

You could always consider SLI'ing 2 460s if your mobo supports it. They can be had for $100 USD on sale these days.

A GTX 570 is great @ 1680x1050. I tend to get 50-60FPS on my 470 @ 850/1700/1910.
