Is that screen tearing? or Ghosting? or my GPU?

Thread Starter
Basically i reach decent fps, around 75-over 100
under 100 seems a little choppy, but over 100 is smooth?

that happens in almost every game i play

when i get into places where is alot of lighting seems choppy .. if i stay in dark is smooth.. i usally play with vsync but some games don't support it... forcing vsync through nvidia works in few games only

What sort of monitor are you using, and is it set to the correct hz in the drivers? As in, if it's a 60hz monitor and its set to 75hz, could that explain it especially when you have vsync on?

Have you tried reinstalling nvidia drivers?

Vsync is designed to sync your framerate to your frequency setting, but if something is incorrect with your frequency, it can sync it wrong..

What happens if you try another monitor, or even something as basic as plugging it in the other slot of your vid card? I know some of those monitors have drivers in them, maybee those drivers suck?
