Video is worthless without PC specs listed.

The mega-texturing can use a LOT of VRAM, so as certain textures leave the camera's view frustum they're likely moving to lower res versions, and then as they come back into view they're grabbing the higher-res version. My guess is that this is either a bug, or that the person in the video doesn't have a good enough GPU (with enough VRAM) to be running on the settings he's using.

Even a quick demo test of it would have found this. I would assume they would have given a quick look over before bolting their name to it.

I think I am more upset about the lack of graphic options though. I never thought ID would develop a game with a console mind set...ID pretty much made PC gaming in the first place or at least made it popular. Though if they didn't some one else would have i am sure.

"At QuakeCon 2011, Carmack mentioned a number of additions PC version of RAGE might receive in the forseeable future. No, wrong.

It's up to the publisher to provide funding and marketing for the game. It's up to the developer to make the game as well as making sure it works right.

It's up to ID to "fix" this. If, it is indeed, a software issue with the game.

I remember ID games (Doom 3 mainly) preferring beastly NVidia cards. When I first bought Doom 3 many moons ago, I had the ATi 9800 pro which ran Half-Life 2 like a champ but could only run Doom 3 on the lowest settings.

The megatexture technology streams the texture into vram while you play. Carmack said you'd need about 40gigs of vram to load the whole thing in one shot. I've already pre-loaded the game, can't wait to try it when I get home.

I was always saying that this game will look crappy until I'm proven wrong and whad'ya know. I think all "recent" ID games have sucked. Bethesda on the other hand are just hungry for money.. :/

LOL, please shut the heck up. Why don't you go ahead and work on a Development team and then say the Publisher is the reason for a game to be broken. ID my have leased a few programmers from Bethesda but that is just like saying Zeni-Max is the reason Fallout has issues. FYI Zeni-Max publishes for Bethesda. They aren't even a true game company.

So there are 30+ minutes of trailers without this issue, but one person posts a 0:34 second video of issues that only they're having and that completely solidifies everything for you? Game looks gorgeous, I'm not sure what you're talking about.
