There are people who claim none of that happens on their system in the comments.

Its a confirmed issue, only affects AMD cards, it won't recognize the vram, and thus not hold any textures in it, but continually stream

Same.

I wonder if some of these people just look TOO hard.

lack of graphical options?

I'm really not surprised. There was something about this title that just whispered console port to me.

Not saying all console ports are bad, but when they suffer with a lack of options and bugs like this, then they're obviously not good for the PC platform, are they?

I have the latest Nvidia drivers and havent had a single problem with Rage. Been playing for about an hour, no texture pop-in problems, no crashes. Also I disabled sli to see what frames I get with 1 gtx 580, never dipped below 60fps.

The game is beautiful, but when you look closely the textures are pretty low res, obviously a console port. I expected a lot better from id.

Carmack, himself, said to not look to closely because the textures were low resolution. Its not like we werent warned about this.

It would actually surprise me if a game that bethesda had anything to do with DIDN'T have some crippling bug. They've got a rep to protect....
