ASUS P7P55-E Overclocking help.

Thread Starter
I've been trying to overclock my i5 750 for a while now and the clock becomes unstable due to excessive heat around 3.6GHz. The chip itself is not getting to hot but in HW Montior the two things labeled "SYSTIN" and "CPUTIN" get up to about 80ºC while the CPU temperature stays around 60ºC during LinX.

I'm convinced that these components are on my Motherboard and that they're what's causing the OC to be unstable but I'm not sure what they are.

Also I've got a XIGMATEK HDT-S1283 CPU cooler and a CoolerMaster HAF 932 so air flow around the CPU shouldn't be to big of an issue.

Thanks for the help

What dose HWmonitor read on the core level? DL other programs and see what they read. Speedfan, everest ultimate are just a few.

I had the same board and temps never passed 60ºc.
Are the mosfet heatsinks hot to the touch, maybe theres poor contact between the thermal pads?

Vcore voltage is a bit high, try 1.28 v.

I dropped my Vcore down to 1.28 but I was getting STOP errors so I upped it to 1.3v.

During the stress test the heatsinks on my mosfets did get quite warm, but I don't think they got up to 168ºF.
