I would actually prefer to have played it instead of a congested CoD feeling map. While playable, there should have been some vehicle feedback from the community and now there will be virtually none except for the alpha and the lucky few who got on during the password days.

Agreed.

There were atleast 2 dozen caspian servers during the early access so their excuse is just total bull.

They claim beta helps them test their servers, yet they choose to do that with 32 player servers instead of 64 which is clearly more stressful..

I will just laugh.. and cry if come release the 64 player servers lag like crazy. I'll be there screaming "I told you so!" if it does

They chose Metro over Caspian because EA wants to overtake CoD and most CoD players would have been overwhelmed by Caspian. My brother said while playing the beta on his 360 a lot of people were saying how huge Metro was and how it was hard to find people.

Business as usual, but the obvious focus on crossover players is extremely disconcerting for me.

I agree 110%. I'm all for introducing new players to the Battlefield franchise. It's fun to watch their face when I show them videos of Caspian Border gameplay. But then I always get some people that say "Why does the sniper have to aim above their head? You mean I have to account for gravity??" or "You mean I can't just run in and Javelin the tank like I do with the Chopper Gunner?"

I feel the game is being dumbed down for these new players to give them a smaller culture shock to the instant-gratification style of gameplay they are accustomed to. Battlefield 3 could be so-much more and I'm going to withhold all accusations and strong-worded opinions until the full game is released. But I really hope I'm wrong about EA forcing DICE to dumb down the game to appeal to the CoD players. I don't want a rehash of infantry combat!!! I want a true battlefield experience with teamwork being involved, no One-Man-Army's.

Btw, I've enjoyed the Beta so far, got to play 4 rounds of Caspian Border, and I still have my pre-order. I'm just expressing my concerns.

Vehicles and open maps don't make the game harder. They make it more casual and less competitive.

for cod player it makes it harder because they can't just use 1 op weapon all match long in BF
