That's a lot of money for any game, and I'd be incredibly hard pressed to fork out that kinda dough for a game that seems to be having such an incredibly rough start from its beta testings.
I'm actually more amazed how many people are willing go through that.
I purchase about 1 game a year and forking out $60 for me is no big deal. I only purchase online multiplayer games that have everlasting fun, so that $60 goes towards about 300h of gameplay over the course of the year. If I bought any other games there just wouldn't be enough time to play them. Also, I most certainly don't buy single-player games as the hours of gameplay are about 10-20h before I get bored or beat the game.
Futhermore, with online multiplayer games I find that the most fun can be had in the first 6 months of owning the game; when most people will be playing it.
It usually takes awhile for a game to go down in price, and by that time all the hype has died down; no one's talking about it anymore, and some people have even moved on.Edited by SkillzKillz - 10/5/11 at 2:37am
