i7 2500k aircooled overclocking

Thread Starter
I am running my i7 2600k at 4.5 Gz stable at 1300 mV with a maxtemp 75C under full prime95 load. Is this acceptable and fairly normal for a aircooled oc computer?
Could I damage components by pushing for example voltage further?

i dont like to go over 1.35 cause of some things i heard but intel says limit is 1.5
i see a lot of people running them in the 1.4s with no issues but yes your temps are ok for air cooling and voltage bump try to not go over 85 stress testing and i like to stay 65 and under in real world stuff like gaming

Good Luck!

i wouldn't go over 1.35 either. That is where I feel safe, but this is just my opinion on things.

go ahead and fill out your system specs by going to "User CP" at the top of the page and clicking "add system". it will help everyone judge your situation better.

A fairly cheap unit: CoolerMaster Hyper TX3

Not sure if I could expect to get any more of it?

If you want to push it further, I would advise getting a better cooler than the TX3.
