Possible to Transplant DeathAdder 3G PCB into DA:BlackEdition 3.5G?

Gents I was hoping that maybe some of you might know of someone or have any information regarding the swapping of the Deathadder 3G's PCB/internals with the Deathadder 3.5G BE shell.

My reason for wanting to undertake task this is simple. The 3.5G sensor in the new Deathadders are not as good as the original 1800DPI sensor found only in the 3G. I have been using a Puretrack talent cloth pad for the last 2 years as well as a QCK+. I have noticed this new 3.5G sensor does not track as well and might have some weird slight jitter/starcase issues as well as slight positive acceleration. I have tested both my death adders side by side and the difference is pretty apparent. Heck even my Intell 3.0 schools this 3.5G sensor.

Any information you can provide on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

How could that possibly make any difference? That's like putting a case on your phone and expecting it to be faster.

Sounds like you have old firmware on your 3.5G, have you updated it? The 3.5G doesn't have acceleration nor does it jitter.

What are you rambling on about. I am thinking that maybe you didn't fully understand what I was suggesting here nor are you fully aware of the tracking ability of the 2 different sensors.. Both mice use the same outer shell.
The sensor is mounted on a small pcb that is held by screws to the bottom of the mouse. So as long as the mounting, pcb placement and mold are the same it should not be an issue here.

3.5G is notorious for having less accurate tracking on cloth pads than the 3G which was flawless. Firmware is updated to the latest version. If you google you will see that depending on the cloth pad, quite a few have reported slight jitter.
Also many of which whom owned the 3G on cloth agree that the 3.5 is not as good.

I didn't notice any tracking issues when I switched from the 3G to the 3.5G at 900dpi on a cloth pad and I definitely don't experience any jitter. Maybe it's the pads I use(Razer Goliathus Control and Artisan Hien Soft).

If its such a simple process, why not just give it a try and see?
Also, you are more attached to your mouse pad than your mouse?

I agree that the 3.5 isn't the same. Not sure about the DA:BE but the goliathus control is the best cloth pad I've tried for the 3.5g. I still have a 3g and a kinzu waiting for the day I can make a kinzuadder for fun. : p

There are several things you may want to keep in mind when swapping sensors.

Pin-outs on the sensor, if the data sent from the sensor can be read/understood by the controller, operating voltage, operating current (Voltage should be the same, current may be an issue if it's not the same and if the PCB with the controller contains a current regulator), does the modification require any soldering/de-soldering, if it does, is it SMD or Trough-hole.

Sometimes it's not just a simple swap.

Now, I have not done any modifications to any mice (on electronics level, only a CF mod ).

Those are just the issues I think you may run into when you'll be attempting to replace the sensors.

Cause I just purchased this mouse and if I open it, I void my return policy.
