damn it's not gonna work based on that pic alone. The 3G use a 2 piece PCB design.

PS. Thank you REDHAT for providing the Pic

@redhat_ownage

That's a pic of the Abyssus PCB, not from a DA.

@mim3tic

Iirc we had the same topic a few weeks ago on ESReality, should be in one of the latest DA topics in the hardware sub-forum.

Btw, the 3.5G still has a 2 PCB design.

Or you could ask thuNDa, he knows more about that.

Pin-outs on the sensor, if the data sent from the sensor can be read/understood by the controller, operating voltage, operating current (Voltage should be the same, current may be an issue if it's not the same and if the PCB with the controller contains a current regulator), does the modification require any soldering/de-soldering, if it does, is it SMD or Trough-hole.

Sometimes it's not just a simple swap.
He wants to swap the whole internals, not only the sensor.

It wouldn't work that way anyway because the sensor srom is stored on the MCU and loaded to the sensor on startup.

I don't know what you consider slight, but if there is positive acceleration, it's an extremely low percentage as it would be apparent to most users. Be aware that for w/e odd reason the DA3G V2 tracks more distance than a DA 3G V3 or DA 3.5G.

Sidenote:
The only difference I can really notice between the mice is that the lift off distance on the V2 is a lot lower than a V3 or 3.5G. Tracking to me seems fine, but if it's an issue to you then by all means go for it.

Edit: Ask hella. I think he did this mod due to the lift off distance being too high on the 3.5G sensor/lens.
