HEHEHE, so I got this system together, and unfortunately I won't be able to revamp it for another month or two...or four. Anyway, I am really wanting to make it a beast. Right now, and until after next summer, it wil be used for the kids I take care of after school. After I get done with basic training and AIT, it will be all mine in my man-cave at home.

The rig is sigged right now, and as you can see, it is a little weak in a couple of areas. In January, it is definately getting a bulldozer. That is already done. It will be maxed out on RAM in two days, and the hard drive is about as good as I care to go. It will be the last thing to be upgraded. What I made this thread for is to see what you guys think I should get next. Here are my options:

OPTION A- SAMSUNG S27A850D Matt Black 27" 5ms LED Backlight Widescreen LCD Monitor @ 2560 x 1440 resolution
OPTION B- Second video card with Antec High Current Gamer Series HCG-900 900W PSU
OPTION C- Blu-Ray Burner, Full-Tower Case, and liquid cooling

These will be the likely combinations, and I will start saving money effective immediately. Thanks for any thoughts and/or advice.

To me it seems that you get the most out of Option C.
PhII x4 @3.4 might bottleneck 2x6850, and the monitor... is just 1 item

go with the monitor upgrade imo system should play anything at decent settings but if you are going higher resolution when you upgrade your video card get one with more vram 2gbs is reccomended or you will be bottlenecked with performance as those high resoultions will use all your available 1gb vram

Good luck!

If you mean a closed-loop watercooling, forget that and get a good aircooler. Personally I'd get the HD 6850.

Why not do a custom water cooled loop? It is more expensive but much better than the closed loop you specified. Even an H80/H100 would be better than the one that was posted. If you are going to watercool, I would get atleast an H80/H100. Or just get a really nice Air cooler.

Custom WC CPU loop with BD would be sweet, or wait for 7xxx series to upgrade your GPU or CX your current 6850

I have never done a watercooling job. I would not know where to start. I put that up as an example.

I am definately getting all of the upgrades above, and I am waiting until Direct X 12 to get a new series of GPU. I think it's worth the wait. I did not even put the bulldozer up there, because I am getting it for sure. Hopefully an affordable 8-Core cpu will surface within a couple of years. The Gigabyte 990XA motherboard I have will support a lot of the stuff coming out. I just hope DDR4 doesn't come out soon and kick me in the butt.

My eventual system SHOULD look something like this:

AMD Bulldozer 8-Core CPU w/ watercooling
Gigabyte 990XA MOBO
G. Skill Sniper 16GB RAM
Crossfire X Radeon HD 7xxx GPUs w/ watercooling
x2 750Gb WD Caviar Black RAID 0
Antec 900w PSU
27" Samsung 2560x1440 Monitor

I am just lost on what to get first. I mean, I know I am getting the Dozer, but then what?
