Annoying issue with 1080p playback

Thread Starter
Hello,

first of all; I didn't really know where to put this thread, so if I misplaced it, feel free to move it to the correct part of the forum.

Now, since I installed the latest beta driver of Nvidia (to play BF3 beta) i'm experiencing this annoying issue while viewing 1080p playback on youtube.

First of all my connection is fast enough because it used to work. Secondly the weird thing is this does not occur while playing in 720p mode, so only 1080p.

Thirdly, if I go fullscreen in normal mode (360 or 480 or 720p), and I switch to 1080 WHILE being still in fullscreen mode, there is no lag and the fps stays around 26 instead of the laggy 11 fps.

This is very annoying lately and I'm wondering if someone else is experiencing this problems since the latest drivers from Nvidia? I don't want to roll back since I'm playing BF3, and it wont work with an older driver...

Thanks in advance!

Try updating to Flash Player 11 if you haven't already.

did that but didn't help.

It's funny, when I disable hardware acceleration in the settings of adobe flash player. It runs fine but fraps wont show fps anymore then. Probably my cpu doing all the calculations right?

I can confirm the same issue but I'm not sure if mine was tied to the new drivers or not.
GPU usage is none when 1080p videos try to be accelerated. Which is strange because all others work fine-- the problem is that flash doesn't exact do well trying to use a CPU thread to stream 1080p video... lag.
