I would go with the Asus Maximus board instead. Also you have too much ram. There are only 4 slots. 1200W for 4 cards is too little. 3 Cards did just over 1000W and another card will pull 250W+. You will need 1500W.

Depending on your CPU/GPU cooling that you are gonna use, you can go with an all in one CPU water cooling kit like the Corsair H100. Has gotten some real good reviews and real good temps, far cheaper and easier to setup than a full water loop. And yea you have too much RAM for that board, your gonna want to wait till X79 or get a Dual Xeon setup if you want that much RAM.

Yeah overlooked the ram there, lol. Why go with the maxumus over the gigabyte?

Shoulin: good note, I might consider a closed water cooled loop for the cpu.

1155 mb's only have 4 ram slots. I heard having all ram slots filled takes a bite at overclocking, I don't know for sure as I have only 2 slots filled but I'm sure someone here can chime in about that. That is an insane amount of ram, usually 8gb is more than enough.

It's a bit fersher lol, I'll be running some stressful programs, I tapped 12gbs out already. The bite at the oc worries me a little.

Oh okay, they have 16gb of ripjaws for a decent price, I don't know if this would be enough.

Edit: I'm sure you will be able to overclock, It's just hard to tell if it would even matter unless you are trying to achieve record clocks. You'll run into a problem with cooling before you reach that point probably. I'd recommend getting a corsair H80 or H100 if you plan on overclocking.

16gb should be ok for now, I was thinking either the gskill or corsair's for the same price. Matter of preference?
