I definitely plan on having tweaking fun w/ fr*eon, I was thinking about getting the 1600mhz for stability, figured I had head room to oc some.

Both make quality ram, it's really up to you.

word; I'll probably go with corsair, I've have had good luck with them. I like the gskill ram though, down to try it out. The only difference I would quiver about would be the heat sink quality w/o the freon until I get it all set up.

You do not need to look at ram speed for overclocking sandy bridge. 1600mhz is the nice spot for sandy bridge however. Anything higher and you do not gain much.

Corsair and GSkill are both great brands. I have read user's having no problems with all 4 ram slots filled up and still achieving high overclocks.

ok cool, I'm probably going with G.Skill's Sniper ram @ 1600mhz on Intel's DP67BGB3 board. Was looking at freon compressors, $60 for the unit I want + another $100 to ship the thing, haha. yeah right.

Hoping freon will allow for more stability @ high speeds P}

alright so I've configured a few different systems for uber power at lowish cost. Both systems will utilize x2 Gigabyte 580's and an ST1200w psu with an OCZ 120gb SSD w/ 600gb, 10000rpm WD Velociraptors.

I like the idea of upgrading to an 8core AMD monster down the road; can't wait to see what it does next to Intel's new gear P} Here's what I've got so far.

AMD
GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD7
AMD Phenom II X6 1100T
x2 (16gb) CORSAIR DOMINATOR GT 2x4GB

Intel
Intel DP67BGB3
Intel Core i7-2600K
x2 (16gb) G.SKILL Sniper Low Voltage Series (2x4gb)

Still don't know weather I'm running G.Skill or Corsair. G.skill's ultra low voltage sniper ram is quite appealing over Corsairs almost triple price Dominator.. Now to find out witch ram overclocks better lol P}
