I have worked with intel boards in the past. The older ones were locked so no overclocking. Friend didn't listen to me before and purchases an intel board for 1156; nothing but problems. After reading online, others had major issues too.

They make great processors, but their boards are bad.

word man thanks' P} damn, looked like a great board.. I'm thinking ASUS Maximus IV, then getting a water block for it from koolance. It's one of he only boards I've found that has a bomb water block for it.

Still looking around though.. .

Changed the set up around to a server/workstation that may or may not be better then the new chips coming out, we'll see.

Intel
EVGA Classified SR-2 (LGA 1366 :/
Dual 6core Xeon W3680's @ 3.33ghz
G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 6x8GB
Dual Gigabte 580's (for now, quad sli support sounds awesome)
ENERMAX Platimax EPM1200EWT 1200W

AMD (would like to see a dual bulldozer board P}
no ability to OC.... .. . . Future CPU upgrade support is a maybe.
AMD 2x12core Opteron 6172 @ 2.1ghz :/
8x Kingston ValueRAM 4GB
ASUS KGPE-D16
ENERMAX Platimax 850w

They both look like mini super computers (cooled directly w/ fre*on in short order these mSPC's will push some serious programs without choking, hopefully. I really don't like the idea that I won't be able to OC the AMD system at all..... but 24cores w/ 32gb's o ram, wow. only works with one gpu so I'll probably end up getting a MARS II. There was a post on newegg about this board not being able to go into remote console with an upgraded gpu, works with onboard lol yeah that helps haha.. that's a serious issue.. yeah probably not going to get that setup..

man, I wanna see these new cpus and mobo's that will support them.. Could vaporize these systems out o ht water. or not and theses could be cheaper lol. arr

too much fun waiting for new parts to hit.. . lol P}

Going with the Intel if it ends up that the new chipset isn't as good + cheaper or better.
