If i get the 2500k, im leaning towards the ASRock Z68 Extreme4 Gen3 Motherboard. Good enough?

Great mobo! In my opinion. Might take a look at asus's maximus iv gene z68. It's matx but has same features, the only thing better about the asus board is its got a way better sound chip. But also its only a micro atx

Its just a question I wanted to pose to you guys, however my need is pretty great right now.

Im using, currently, an old Acer Aspire 5600. According to this: http://www.retrevo.com/s/Acer-5600-Laptops-review-manual/id/719ci065/t/1-2/ its ready to retire. And I believe it is. It runs slow, starts up slow and the battery life is non existant.

Right now, I can go with a 955BE, 6850 and possible crossfire in future with am3+ compatibility. Or I can save up a bit more and go with a 2500k, crossfire 6850. I just dont know... Im shooting between need for now and the bad decision of inferiority. I'm not saying AMD is bad, its good in its own right and i respect the company, however i've been told the 2500k will beat the 955 and pretty much every regard..soo yeah..budget now build or the waiting game..Itll be the only game I can play.

955 is a good chip. 2500K is top of the line, so its like comparing a ferrari to a BMW, the BMW is still a good car (955) but the ferrari is OBVIOUSLY better(2500).

I say budget. No matter what you get i'm sure it will be enough to do what you do with your computer. I'm still running a $350 Athlon X2 system I built last year because I sold my i7 rig because I needed to pay for the down payment on my car.
