Compatibility/design check

Thread Starter
J.Mattes and I have been working on redesigning his website, here's what we're thinking about going with.
If you could test it in as many browsers as you could, and if you have any comments on the design, that'd be great thanks

In Firefox4/IE8(that's all I have on my machine right now), there seems to be an excess amount of space on the right if you're under smaller resolutions (makes a horizontal scroll bar even though there's no content on the far right)
There's some things in the HTML/CSS, you could improve a little but it's fine right now. Only thing broken would be links to pages that don't exist yet.

The design is very plain, however. It's a black background with glow at the top(I actually would like it more without that), you may want to use some textures to bring it out more. I guess you could argue for the minimalist approach but it just doesn't stand out to me, maybe because there's a lack of images at the moment.

I agree, the design could be considered plain. Were you able to look at the original to compare?

I was going for a simple, classy, professional look. Once all the links are added and the content tweaked. I will begain creating the work that will be displayed and I guess at that point the design may change. Pages may start to get images, maybe some buttons, etc.

Thanks for your feedback!

Any and all comments are appreciated!

I see an empty h1 tag that crazyAP should fill...if you don't want the text to display, simply take if off the page (position: absolute; left: -2000px; top: -2000px because it's terrible practice to leave it empty. Even if you have nothing to say, simply use the same text as the page title.

Also, that red and white logo is REALLY irritating. It just looks unprofessional to me, but that's just my opinion. I have very little creativity in graphics and prefer minimalistic logos too much.

One other thing is that black link on the Resume page. It's really, really hard to read and that's a turn off.

Other than that? It looks fantastic and is coded really nicely.

@iPoop: Yea, that was the place holder for the header image (it's included as a background in the CSS). I'll fix it. Thanks for reminding me!
Black link? You mean the blue "Download the resume!" one? That is a little dark, I'll bump it up

@allupinya: Yea mkay, well then. Would you mind zipping the code up for that...? And how did you make that header image?
