Sure it does, with SLI you have twice the processing power but still the same VRAM limitation. It can take what was a fairly balanced set up in that regard and throw it way off balance. That said the OP didn't mention SLI unless I missed something.

According to his sig he already has one GTX570.

Probably the reason people are assuming he want's SLI.

But as my father said, Never "Assume" Because it makes an "Ass out of U & Me"

Isn't sli the ability to have more than one card work together? Vram has nothing to do with the card having sli capabilities. Its really up to the card to offer sli regardless of the card's vram count.

Yes that's true, and SLI is not dependent on VRAM amount to function with the cards we are discussing but as I said VRAM is relevant when you are doubling the amount of GPU processing power but keeping the same VRAM limitation. Think of it as having twice as much power to play with but still the same amount of space to play with it in.

Yup agree with Antistatic12 because I also have GTX 570TFII OC hehe unfortunately this TFII doesnt have many phase like TFIII but still great performance in overclocking plus safe temp with TFII cooling solution If you wanna stable higher overclock such as unlocking VGPU up to 1.2volt then I would reccommended TFIII.... anyway here's my max OC only in Benchmarks :
