"Is your PC version of Rage crashing to the desktop? Do you have an ATI graphics card? Bethesda's Pete Hines tweets that a conflict between ATI's Battlefield 3 beta drivers and Rage might be the cause. Time for a rollback!" -PCGamer

I know it says "Crashing to desktop" but it may be linked? Iunno, just trying to be helpful.

Rage is instance loaded, there are no graphics cards with enough VRAM for rage at the current moment. So the textures are streamed directly from the hard drive to the graphics card to be processed. I assume this to be a merger of the console development at the PC, and I assume it can be made to be better, but so far, I haven't had any issues with texture pop in. I have 1768 MB of VRAM on my 470.

Not sure this is right on topic, but it is about Rage....

Like everyone else i was having issues with the game, so first thing i did was make a support ticket to bethesda support...and i will cut n paste the reply i got

"Hello XXXX,

Thank you for sending us some of your system spec information, but in order for us to assist you further we will need a full dxdiag of your system.

Please use the steps below to record and send us the information about the current installation of DirectX on the computer. We need this detailed information in order to assist in troubleshooting the issue at hand. No personal information is contained in the report
. "

Now i didn't cut the whole email over as it was mostly instructions on how to get DxDiag information saved to a txt file and email it to them.

Really? Seriously? Did i miss something? I could have sworn Rage was OpenGL?
Did they release a patch that converted it to DirectX?

Anyone want to elaborate why DirectX would have anything to do with OpenGL?
Just want to make sure i didn't miss anything.
