Dell makes some of the best monitors I've seen. Only surpassed by the uber expensive NEC's

If you switch the monitors cables around, so that the one on the right is on the left and vice versa does the problem move to the other screen, does it stay on the same side regardless of monitor, or does it go away?

If it moves with the monitor regardless of cable, position, or being primary monitor than they probably sent you a bad monitor.

I am also running two of these, my most common 'problem' is that the screen will sometimes only display half (very rarely happens - once or twice and I've had them almost a year). A simple off-on of the screen fixes this, think it has something to do with the dvi cable not transmitting a dual-link signal, so it can only display half the screen at 120hz. That's my theory

Why am I telling you this? So if it happens to you, you don't completely flip out. I know I did when it first happened!

Dell makes some of the best monitors on the planet. Your first post was totally unhelpful and not in keeping with the spirit of OCN.

Its obviously a custom rig.
He only has alienware monitors. Which are made by dell. Who makes some fantastic monitors and isnt half bad at making laptops.
Or are you telling him to custom build his own monitors?
Sorry. My reading comprehension is a little weak. /sarcasm

OP, your DVI cord might be wonky, it could very easily be the card being bad, ot it could even be a driver issue.
