I have no problem with scratches on the computer, just not on the screen.
It should come with the battery and a charger.

The i5-2410M is still faster then the A8-3500M but with the HD 6750M GPU and the blu-ray drive for $550 it's a great deal It also has USB 3.0 and 10/100/1000 Lan

The air intake vents for this laptop are all on the bottom. So don't set this laptop on a bed or anything that will block the vents the laptop will overheat.

you might to want to replace that 640GB 5400RPM drive I think it's the same one that came with my laptop it's very slow :/ I replaced it with a 750GB 7200RPM drive to give desktop like performance.

^ Thanks! I hope they would put up a picture. ;/ What really attracted me was the 6750. Hard to find a dedicated card at that price range.

I'm also worried about DOA.

First time ordering a laptop from newegg. I ordered computer parts from newegg before.

They come with what it needs to operate the PC (battery, charger).

You also get a warranty from Newegg if it's DOA (unlikely).

I repair many recertified laptops. Not because they are recertified necessarily, but because our company buys a lot of them. I have seen recerts out of the box with screws missing, ribbon retainers broken, casings that don't line up exactly, no recovery partition, wrong image installed, and drivers missing (because they replaced a wifi card with a different model for example). I have also had many more with no problems that last as long as any new laptop. I'd say that buying a recert gives you about 20% more of a chance of having an immediate issue (within the first 3 months). If you haven't noticed anything wrong in that time it is likely it will last as long as any other.

-Typed on a 6 year old recertified laptop...really.

Screws missing, wrong image installed, no recovery partition, and drivers missing isn't a big problem.

The big proble mis casing that don't line up and broken ribbon retainers...

Should I take the risk and buy this laptop?

This one is a lot better than the K53TA

Also I would not wait that long to order they could be out of stock by Oct 10.
