New build planning / advice

Hey guys

I'm fed up with my current case so i'm going to get a new one, except it's mostly the same as what I have, just a different colour with some upgrades, the P80N Armorsuit

Going to have the whole thing powdercoated black first as firstly the silver interior is ugly and I find the brushed polish to scratch really easy.

In the roof there are 2 140mm fan mounting holes, should be enough room on the right side for another one to mount a 420 rad in there on the inside of the case (not in the 'hood' bit on top). so first question is what rad do I want? I plan to stick 3x GT AP-15's on it with adapters.

Should I keep the 120rad I have and mount that on the back?

Also I want to have a drainport on this build somewhere, where could I put it?

Plan is to replace all my phobya fittings which I ruined by tightening them with a wrench and scraping the plating off with some BP ones, lots of nice neat angled ones this time too since I read somewhere on here that someone tested and it took about 30 angled fittings to even lower the pressure a tiny bit so i'm not worried about that.

This is my current rig (got a full cover block/backplate for the GPU in the mail):

Also looking at it now reminds me, what tubing is everyone using that bends so easily? I have to use such long lengths or it kinks, but i've seen pics where people do U bends with them easily. I have XSPC tubing.

I agree with powdercoating the case, but look around first and see if there is one already the color you want that will suit your needs and likes.

420 rad - Will it fit in the top of that case?

120 rad - If it also fits on the back, keep it. More rad space the better

Drain - I recommend skipping the "drain" and just put a couple sets of QDCs in the loop

Tubing - Primoflex LRT is some awesome tubing. I recommend 1/8" walls for better anti-kink (3/8x5/8, 1/2x3/4)

Just use some rotary fittings on the pump, then you can put the pump in a tub, undo the fittings to drain it and you're golden.

7/16 ID 5/8 OD from primochill is the way to go.

Nothing wrong with that. It was in my list of 1/8" wall tubing
