Feedback is great but very rarely will anything in Beta see any major changes (and often even minor changes).

So, while I agree that it is great that DICE is listening in some aspects, who in their right mind thought it would be a good idea in the first place to do squad management like it is now in the Beta? It should never have gone in this direction in the first place. How many of their studies before development returned the data that people want to go to a browser to do anything once they are in the game itself?
I think it is safe to assume they did no studies. No one in their right mind (in my opinion) would like the current system in the BETA over being able to manage it on our own. It seems like developers are increasingly forgetting about the basics these days as they are trying to innovate in term of different ways to interact with the software because consoles are have held back innovation in physics, graphics and so on for so long. They are just trying new things out to keep things fresh in other departments although when doing so they just seem to forget so many things that when released to the public us PC games go, "what the ish are you guys kidding us? Where is feature x that has been in video games since the beginning of time?"

problem with mid game squad management is that people exploit it by spawning on a squad leader/member closest to the objective. I see it all the time in BC2.

What they need to do is introduce a mandatory amount of time spent in a squad. No quick switching on demand. You join a squad, you have to stick with it for at least 5 minutes.

I don't see that as too much of a problem. That would only work if:
a) The person nearest the objective is in a squad
b) The squad he is in has open slots
c) You were already near the objective when you died, and thus saw and remembered the name of the player that is nearest to it
d) You take the time to figure out which squad said player is in
e) You join said squad
f) Said person hasn't died in the meantime while you were figuring all of this out

But only AFTER the round has started, should not be penalized for changing squads before the round starts.

Awesome, and relating to the browser server search...why are people complaining? Its much better than the clunky browser searches that were present in BF2/BC2. I can do other stuff w/o alt-tabbing...like browse the web while waiting for server clearance.
