crashes with 460m sli

Hi, I'm relatively new to overclocking and I've been experimenting with my GPU's. I've had a fair amount of success running the core clock at 840 and the shader clock at 1680 and the memory clock at 1390. I was running crysis on ultra with the anti aliasing off and the cards were running around 75-77 degrees. So I just started playing the beta for BF3, and cranked my cards up to run it and with the settings maxed, my cards still stayed below 80 degrees, but... after about 15 minutes of playing whilst constantly monitoring the temp (max was 81 on one of the cards) my nvidia drivers crashed. I sat there and let windows recover and after it did its thing, i tried to close bf3, and the computer hung up. This time for good. I tried this multiple times to see if the problem is constant and it is... any suggestions on what the problem is and why its crashing even though its not running that hot? Oh and I'm using the 285.38 beta driver which might be the problem? Computer is a Sager NP7280

When overclocking you don't have to run hot to crash.

clearly... any ideas on what it could be??

285.38 is the worst and most unstable driver for me to date. 10-20 Crashes a day. "Nvdia driver has stopped responding" and a few BSOD's aswell.

If you don't really wanna play the BF3 Beta use the 275.33's. They are extremely stable and are a bit better than 266.58 overall.

If I had to guess I would say that it's just too high of a clock for the voltage, so try backing the clocks down a bit. Additionally I would stick to one variable for possible instabilities at a time, so work on the core first while keeping the memory stock, and then only after you are positive the core is stable start working on the memory.
