You're buying a phone...for a camera? I'll tell you right now any smartphone out there will take great pictures for when you randomly need to. If you are serious and want high quality pictures, you will get a digital camera instead.

That being said, I see no improvement over my Galaxy S2 with these 4Gs shots. And I was reading somewhere that the 4Gs can "take photos so fast!" Well...my S2 takes them in under a second and saved ready to go again so IDK *** they're on. Apply really is behind here.

Apple show the ip4s as much faster than a Gs2...

I have a GalaxyS on sprint and its camera sucks compared to the ip4, IMO. 1st shot slower, shot to shot slower, flash... "mostly unusable on Gs" The built in HDR ip4 camera has none of these faults.

In full daylight, its GalaxyS is not bad tho.

However the flash issue is so bad... and the fact that there's still no gingerbread update (and the xda roms all fc frighteningly often) that I really do not think samsung has a handle at all on software in general, and imaging in particular. (Did you check out how the GS2 is rated very low in audio quality for a high end phone?)

It looks good.

If it's really true that this is significantly cheaper than the 4G, I might just go Apple with my next phone. Any word for an accurate price?

I had have the iPhone 4 and though the camera is better if you have the right light and know how to take photos GS would take better ones since you have a bit more control in setting where as iPhones have Auto Mode Setting.

LOL, I like my pictures on my Galaxy S 2, no complaints as it compares to my other point and shoot cameras....

Also note, it's not the iPhone 4Gs... but iPhone 4S, as this phone is not even 4G...
More like an iPhone Type-s with V-TEC...

And I do like the concept of taking fast pictures... It's something I wish was already invented as picture-moments pass by so quickly already but like stated, my galaxy s 2 takes good enough pictures at a fast speed...

Camera+ on the app store, look into it. All the controls you might want. http://campl.us/

My galaxy S cant take a flash pic closer than 3 feet.. totally blows it out and ruins it.

Samsungs shows a lack of care with, GPS, current software updates, basic photography on the phone that I own.

IMO, they should have fixed the flash before it was released. But they never fixed it.

What does this mean about the gs2, it only means I'm wary. If its as good as the ip4s we will know later in head to head tests.
