Ahhh I see. I'm not sure if those mechanics are considered unique since every MMO since...(Insert MMO Here) has used that same design. I hope they just create more fun battles that are less about doing specific damage and more about teamwork and having to think.
I see a lot of that "It sucks because it's just 123123" but honestly in every MMO I've seen >20Lvl it's mostly been 111111....22.2.1 Meh.
One thing I think will pull in a lot of players and keep them is the "Why". So far ARR has been very story driven, with lots of character developments. Immediately you are fighting for a cause, which gives you a reason to fight. I think a lot of people will look past the lvl 1-20 training grounds because they are interested in how the story develops. Not that it's TERRAbul at those levels, but not as great as 30+.
