my current setup:
x58a-ud5 rev 1.0
i7-930
2GB x 6 DDR3 1600 XMS3
Sapphire 5850
3 x 64GB MicroCenter Sandforce 1222 SSDs in RAID0 (intel controller)
1TB spinpoint f3 media drive
1TB spinpoint f3 secondary OS installation (for cleaning SSDs and restoring), also backs up primary OS images daily
2tb WD green drive for backups of everything and weekly OS backups
1TB spinpoint f3 (hackintosh lion)
1tb 7200.12 (time machine)
Asus Xonar Essence STX
56k modem for faxes
Blu Ray burner
DVD burner
USB card reader

Both the primary and secondary OS are x64 windows 7 ultimate sp1

For work reasons I'm looking to run real time encryption on all the drives with TrueCrypt or BitLocker if someone gives me a good reason to do so instead of using TrueCrypt.

I see that Sandy Bridge processors all natively support the latest AES-NI instructions, but that Gulftown also does.

I have 4 options:

1. Keep the current CPU and encrypt all the drives, and take the performance hit
2. Upgrade to gulftown 980x or whatever is cheapest on craigslist and have hardware accelerated AES encryption
3. Upgrade to a sandybridge mobo and cpu setup, and basically shelve this current system
4. Wait for Ivy Bridge or something else that's great to come out in the next year.

I have the last 3 COD games, a couple other games like MLB 2k10 but primarily use the system for working from home, a media and work server (very light for work use), and for audio/video encoding with handbrake and tunebite.

Which option would you do?
