GTX 580 small flickers

Thread Starter

Hey guys,my first post here
I recently built a new rig;
i5 2500k
8GB Vengeance 1600MHz RAM
ASUS 580 Matrix platinum
Corsair HX 850

And I've experience some small texture flickers/quality problems in almost all games.

Crysis2

ME2

It doesn't happen all the time, but sometimes I see things like this happening in smokes/trees and lightnings.

Things I've tried:
Enabled V-sync/Triple buffering
Re-seat the GPU
Tried both DVI/HDMI connections

Oh and I'm using the latest drivers.
I've also asked in other forums but haven't found a solution yet.

If its overclocked , put it back on stock clock.

Try testing the cards individually for the same artifacts. It maybe an issue with one card or an issue related to running them in SLI. If they came OCed from the factory they should be fine. I am at work so I can not check the manufacturer's web site but some factory OCed cards need a small increase in voltage for stability. You could check to see if that applies to your cards. I hope this helps and let us know what you find out.

Other than slightly increasing the voltage to the card I have no suggestions other than contacting tech support. Sorry for the comments referrencing SLI; that is what I get for reading forums while at work.

I did not see anything helpful on other forums either. Good luck.

Haven't tried increasing the voltage but I tried downclocking the card to a reference 580 card but it didn't help

Card may be dying.

If it gets worse, RMA.
Or just RMA anyway.
