$1500 Build (If needed) - Gaming - Page 2

Try microcenter.com. They have I5-2500K's for $180 all day long, wish I would have purchased mine from them.

The 212+ will limit you on OC headroom but with a $1200 budget your GPU will become the bottleneck long before your CPU. I'm also running at 4.7ghz on a 212+ so its not that bad.

Are you using some leftover components? Do you need a case, operating, system, PSU, DVD ROM?

Thread Starter
OS is taken care of
PSU & Case are a dilemna for me as it would eat up the rest of my 1500 original budget when i dont really need them (using the ones listed in my original build)
Re-using the dvd-rw from my original build

BUT if i can sell my original build as is on ebay or craigslist for something like 2-300 then i wont end up with buyers remorse if i grab a new case and PSU

If I cant sell it tho id have a tough time dumping roughly $260 on a new case and modular PSU without having a healthy amount of buyers remorse =(
