I like MIUI, it has some great features but it is way too iOS for my liking.

Still, I would really like if Google went back to HTC. Far better than Samsung, at least, in my opinion.
I agree with you about the sliders, the W705 was easily the weakest of my SE handsets but still took quite a beating.

Sony's 2010 devices are rather dated, but even though the Arc and the rest of the 2011 are single-core devices they (especially the Arc) are pretty bloody smick.
I got an X10 just over a year ago and ever since putting ZMOD AOSP on it I have never been a fan of any manufacturer Android overlays, Sense, Touchwiz, whichever.
I still use my X10 thanks to CM7, FXP and the other great devs out there. They have turned this highly overlooked 2010 device into a worthy single core device in todays market. It's astonishing how far this phone as come really.

I wouldn't be surprised if Google use Moto for the next Nexus device.

I like MIUI because it's a polished Android and it's easily customizable. You can make a shortcut to an updrawer and change the icon to which ever one you'd like. There are lots of themes that don't look like iOS at all and they are all free!

Will Sprint be getting a Nexus also? I'm sick of the lack of support from Samsung for the original Epic 4G.

When I was using MIUI I was using LauncherPro anyway, the menus iOS appearance is what got to me after a while and I found the settings area to be confusing and cumbersome.
There are some MIUI features I'd love to see make it to stock Android though. I love the way MIUI handles themes in a very modular way. Being able to get full themes, and then use bits and pieces from each is awesome.

I especially love the notification system in MIUI, swiping between toggles and notifications was and looked awesome.

I'd take the stock MIUI SMS app over Go or Handcent anyday also.

After all those superior specs (even if they're rumors at this point), you'll still get the iPhone? I advise you to seriously consider and at least wait until next week to make your final decision on a purchase. If the Prime turns out to meet or even beat these rumors, hell it would be one heck of a device.

The only superior specs are of the Exynos variant.. and only then will it compete with the iphone 4S IMO. If it's going to have the weaker specs.. well, then there is no point to getting a phone that is much larger AND slower

Yeah, I had the W705 and another model..ugh, what was it... It was another W-model, and they just fell apart.

The X10 was actually the phone I really really really wanted, until I saw how sluggish the Sony UI was on it. Then it made me cry. I'm still happy with my Nexus One. Maybe I'll check out the X10, I didn't know there was a CM release for it. Thanks for the info!

So you don't consider the presence of NFC, a much larger and more brilliant AMOLED HD display, possibility of either HSPA+ and LTE, large internal and external storage capacity, and the much improved Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich better? We don't even know which processor Samsung will gun for, but I'm sure even if it's the OMAP 4460 it would still be one of the best ones today along with Exynos.

Oh my.

I will purchase the Prime unless it has the 4430 TI OMAP, that chip is just too weak compared to Exynos to fill my enthusiast hunger. If it's the 4460 however the GPU is running 84MHZ faster which should bring it closer to Exynos performance, while the two A9 cores at 1.5 will outperform stock Exynos at CPU tasks.

Because it's a higher binned chip, it will also probably hit 1.8-1.9 fairly easily and could hit 2.0GHZ stable.

I do think there is a good possibility the new Exynos 4212 is in the device. What it said in the announcement for the processor that it was sampling to select buyers. However that could mean that Samsung has a inventory now they want to use for their own devices before they commit to supplying for others as well. There's a very good chance I think.
