CORSAIR Series TX650 with 465 GTX SLI

Thread Starter
Currently have a CORSAIR Series TX650, not the V2. I've gotten mixed opinions about running 465 GTX SLI. I was wondering if I should upgrade PSU just in case. Specs are in my sig. I won't be Overclocking if that is the case to run it with a 650watt PSU.

I read the recommended PSU but saw this and found it cheap with $25 rebate and 15% that I currently have.

Let me know.

Thanks,

Stock clocked?

Yes, you are good to go.

You won't need a 850w psu for sli 465s.

Your 650W is enough for dual 465s.

Well,

It would seem that your concerns are somewhat warrented, the GTX400 series take up more juice than the 500 series.

Class 2 (200-275W)
GTX580, GTX570, GTX470, GTX465, GTX285, GTX280, 9800GX2, HD6970, HD4850x2, HD3870x2, 2900XT = 750W

that's pulled from phadreus's calculator. You might need an upgrade

Look at that, look where your GTX465's are in SLi, it's in the 750w bracket. I wouldn't question phaedrus... he's always right with power

Yeah 850 is overdoing but the price is about $72 in the end just thought it was a good deal. Just have no idea if the PSU is reliable.

That one is slightly more expensive but it'll be solid.

Here is a list of recommended PSU's
