I would personally go with the i5-2500k. Better for gaming I've heard from people here. Also, Why do you choose MicroATX? Budget?

The 2500k practically asks for a P67 board, which asks for quite a bigger budget.

The rig looks very well balanced and probably as good as it gets for that budget. My main gripe is it "only" has 4 GB of DDR3; 2x4GB would be better and it costs just a bit more. The second suggestion is more of a personal preference: for gaming rigs one rarely needs a fast CPU so an i3 2100 would be adequate, while the money left could be used to go up to a 560Ti; however 1440x900 isn't demanding by any means even for the 460 so you might as well get the faster CPU if you'd ever need the extra speed.

You can drop to i3 2100. See my rig below. Gaming wise i3 2100 can handle most games. Only few games will benefit from quad core.

You can also drop to Radeon 6770 if you game at 1440x900.

750W for PSU is overkill. Considered 400W to 500W.

Motherboard wise I would get this one,
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813138325
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813157233

More room for future upgrade. Top is H61 while bottom is H67. Get H67 one if it is within your budget.

Welcome to OCN desyar, I see this is your first post

You may want to ask yourself how long you plan on keeping this machine. If you plan on keeping it for awhile, I'd think about getting more ram and possibly the i5-2500k. Do you plan on overclocking? Your overclocking will be severely limited if you're not getting a "k" chip. Like already mentioned, 750W is a bit overkill for that machine. Try to find an efficient (certified 80+ , bronze, silver, gold etc) PSU. An efficient PSU is more important than most people think.

Hi! Thanks for welcoming me and thanks for the responses everyone.

I'm probably gonna keep it for awhile mainly just for gaming since I already have another computer for my studies and stuff, also I plan on getting a better monitor in the future.
And no not overclocking, I'd like to stick with this spec but of course any recommendations are welcome(in case I change my mind lol)

I'm confused I've been told by some that a 550w PSU is "underpowered" for this spec, can anyone else confirm this? :S

but if it's true, please recommend a PSU for me too.

Welcome to ocn

A good 450w is more than enough for that build. Make sure you go with a reputable brand as an inferior 500w psu cant pull more than 300w without smoke and flames!.

+1 for the 2500k i know its more expensive but it would also be alot longer before you had to upgrade again.

If you think you may change your mind on overclocking (stay around here and you probably will) I'd recommend the i5-2500k. It gives you by far the most bang for your buck.

As far as the PSU is concerned, I'd recommend reading this article from Tomshardware.com, Picking The Right Power Supply.
