So im in a weird situation and I can't pick a direction. Right now I have a pc with a msi gtx 460 1gb cyclone that I use for gaming. I only play bfbc2 and recently the bf3 beta. I also have a pc with 3x sapphire extreme hd 5850's that I use for a distributed computing project. I've decided to build a gaming rig for the bf3 launch and fund it by selling off most of the hardware from both of the pc's. The issue is I can't decide on which video cards to put in my new rig (z68 and 2500k). I can buy another 460 and go sli by selling all the 5850's since I can buy a 460 for the same price a 5850 sells for. Or I can dump the 460 and keep two of the 5850's and run crossfire. Now I know the battlefield games run better on amd video cards and I did get higher fps on a single 5850 than I did on the 460. However the amd drivers drove me nuts (bfbc2, didn't try it with bf3) Constant glitching in the game and random flickering doing basic browsing in a dual monitor setup (single monitor had no issues). So I went back to the 460 for the stability running dual monitors for everyday tasks. So, if you were in my shoes which cards would you pick and why? And if you have these in sli or crossfire what kind of number are you getting in bf on 1920x1200? Thanks.
