Not true, I can surf the web, play music, send texts and emails, get directions, etc. on my Droid 2.

I don't really use it but it's there.

What do you mean a talking car? Like, one with built in voice commands and such? I'd really find Siri practical though.

Indeed, it sucked (for me). I never use it because it always ends up calling someone when I want to play a song.

Siri is a cool and necessary feature but it's hardly revolutionary.
It's not just flexibility, it understands what you mean, it understands context. I think that's why they say it's revolutionary.

200k phones pre-ordered first 12 hours and the number is skyrocketing? I dont think stumble is a word that can be used here. In fact, this will be their BEST selling phone yet. Its funny how it turns out, disappointment at the announcement and later you see these statistics...

Well obviously it has some haters and lovers. All I'm going to say is I'm one of the people who is into awesome gadgets but doesn't like HUGE phones, so 3.5 - 4.0" is the limit. When that is considered, the iPhone is the best in that bracket IMO. It sports solid hardware, great reliability, little hassle, and clean design. I love what I've seen from Siri, and the addition of dual-core really sold me.

So I don't have half a brain? How rude. I'm glad I'm not getting the same phone as you then.

If you look at the stock price surrounding the announcement, you can see how the experts think:

Stock starting price: $372

"Okay big press conference today! iPhone 5 time, this is getting exciting!"

Stock price: $380

"Seriously? What the !#$%^%@# was that!? SELL. NOW."

Stock drops down to $355

"Actually hang on a minute, I forgot, it's Apple...their customers will buy it anyway. Just grab the stock back again."

Stock back up to $380 within a few hours of trading.
