You're REALLY here trying to claim this isn't a refresh?

I "can't tell if srs" with a lot of your posts, but that has to take the cake. 4S is the lightest refresh I've ever seen.

In fact, if I lost my iPhone 4 and had to replace it (with another iPhone let's say cause otherwise I just wouldn't get Apple at all) I would save the $50 or $100 and just get another 4 instead of a 4S.

It literally offers me nothing over the 4. I know it's a refresh when a guy making a good chunk of money per year has no desire to upgrade.

You can't base your entire argument on your lack of desire to upgrade...

There are a lot of changes, many of them large, and people don't want to see that, well, it doesn't really change anything. Just because it looks almost the same and 'you' don't need/want any of the differences does not make it a 'refresh'. People liken it to the 3G to 3GS change but if anyone has used both a 3G and 3GS, one of them is sorely outdated and the other still runs great and is selling great today.

The internals are almost all upgraded so it isn't a refresh. And let's play along and say it is a refresh, it sure isn't a 'light' one at that.

You might not have any desire for the features offered by the 4S, but that doesn't make it a refresh. There's nothing "refreshy" about it, in every area the 4S is significantly improved over the 4.

That's irrelevant, it'd be called a 5 if it had a different case which adds little benefit. The 3GS wasn't a refresh either. It wasn't an elitist sigh, it was a I've had enough of people say this sigh. You couldn't ask for a more powerful iPhone with today's tech. It's improved in every regard.

In any event, Apple didn't stumble at all and surely didn't open any doors for its competitors. Apple is completely sold out for 1-2 weeks and AT&T announced 200K preorders (its largest ever) in only 12 hours. It's probably a safe bet that Sprint will report it's largest sales EVER and Verizon will likely follow suit.

I was just reading, is the iPhone 4S the first handheld to have Bluetooth 4.0?

People and their toys, basing who they are on these forums by the phone in their pocket.

This isn't a refresh, but it is fairly late to the table in terms of hardware specs. The extra functions the phone has is pretty decent and I'm wondering how they'll play out. However, it doesn't seem significant enough to drop my current phone and jump on the bandwagon. Let alone, given the android platform, a lot of these features are typically free or will be made by someone in the community.

What hardware specs are "late"?

Your sig attempts to say otherwise, but it is clear as day. I think you've already lost the argument.
