Wanted some advise on an OC.

Thread Starter
I currently have a PC with an:
AMD Athlon II X4 635 Propus 2.9GHz Socket AM3 95W

I wanted to OC this.
I have a few questions for anyone with this processor.

How long should I assume my CPU will last (best case scenario) when I OC.
Is the OC going to be harsher on my CPU as its lower budget?
If the Prime 95 goes good then SHOULD the CPU function properly for the remainder of its life?
.......or should I retest every so often?

What were your OC levels any good spicific guides for our CPU you used? Links?
How long have yours lasted?

CPUs are pretty durable. I wouldn't worry too much about killing yours. You should be able to achieve a fairly significant overclock, and as long as it passes a long prime95 test, should stay stable. That being said, I don't know if the fact that you're using an older motherboard makes a difference.

I have been thinking about upgrading the RAM and MOBO. Will probably do that, any recommendations for a cheap SLI bord?

What about this?

Is there a performance level I should be looking for with SLI?
