Xonar DX Worth the Upgrade From Audigy 4?

At the moment the DXs can be had for $30 on Amazon. Would it be worth it to upgrade to that from my old Audigy 4? Thanks

Possibly, depending on what you do with our rig, and the OS you run.

so, this is not exactly a great answer, sorry for that but i'm at work and can't check stuff...i bought an SB Audigy card back when in like 2003, 2004, and just recently picked up a DX a couple weeks back. Though i don't have "audiophile cans" and i'm sure some will sneer at them, i've got a set of HD485s that i listen to music with and game with. Frankly, i couldn't tell a lick of difference between the two cards. My music selection is pretty varied, about the only thing i don't listen to is much opera. Gaming is more RTS with some FPS. If you've got 30 bucks and you're not sure what to spend it on, go for the card. But tbh, i didn't notice any change going from the 8 year old Audigy to the DX...hope it helps!

Thanks a lot, I'll probably pass on the deal in that case. I generally just listen to music or game out of an old set of x-530s so by now means is my setup high end. Thank you.
