im not being rude im simply pointing out something obvious and asking why you could not understand the information given. sorry you feel i was rude and your feelings were hurt. i just honestly don't understand how you don't know how to use Google and you couldn't comprehend the answer given to you above when it was so simply stated.

again sorry 'bout that.

Spoonfed anyone? I always thought that it's easier to do a search first than to ask a question and wait for someone to answer it. That's one of the reasons why there are forums, so you can search for something that already been discussed.

Try using AS SSD. It will show you in the upper left corner information pane of the program. Hope that helps.

I appreciate what you're saying but something that a Google cannot provide it specific answer's to an individual's question. It's all fine and well finding an old thead where a question was answered months ago but things change over time especially in IT. Likewise, you can't really expect everybody to know which results on a search engine query are credible or relaible. In any case if you have nothing to contribute to this particular thread then please move onto another one.

Cheers.

Yea, it may have been due to lack of sleep and sometimes simple things can get to me and I know I was slightly arrogant when that was written lol. That is still no excuse tho. doh.gif

I did and still do apologize, but I was wondering how he didn't understand how his question was answered.

And I did contribute the link to AS SSD and cleared up the response form the previous answer given to him still. biggrin.gif

Your guide says to disable Superfetch, then you give the instructions on how to disable Prefetch. headscratch.gif They're not the same thing.

Sorry to bump an old thread

I tried moving the temp files option

How do I know that it's there?

I changed both user and system variables to D:\Temp Files\TEMP(TMP)

It doesn't show up on the D Drive

A lot of the formatting on this thread got messed up after the site changed over but that should still work. You should be creating the new temp folder first, after that, your temp files will start going in that folder.

Saw some explanations on tweaking ssd on that mentioned that guide. I saw a tip on using ram cache too. Guys, take a note on their benchmark tests..smile.gif
