Maybe you can try the mouse and keyboard from your brothers computer. See if that works.

You should try and unplug mouse and keyboard also to see if it then boots to windows normally. Then when in windows you can reconnect your keyboard and mouse. Then you should be able to update your BIOS in the windows enviroment (but i'm not an expert at that)

And look at it from the bright side you atleast learned how to update your BIOS... nothing to scarry. Shame tough there is a bug in the BIOS causing your problems with keyboard and mouse.

EDIT:
Maybe munain1 has some experience with updating the BIOS under windows enviroment and he can help you with that.

I don't usually recommend any type of flashing in windows, however if you don't have another keyboard or mouse at hand that'll work during post then it may leave you with two options, buy a ps2 keyboard and mouse or flash it in windows, only if it's possible do so and your own keyboard and mouse which should work when you load windows.

Download the windows version here:

1.00 8/3/2011 Windows® 2.95MB First released. (One right at the bottom)

and use the next to it to see the instrcution on how to flash it in windows.

EDIT

Found out that you should still be able to use the keyboard and mouse to get into the BIOS.

If I plug in the keyboard at that time and press delete it would put me into the bios and I had full control with the keyboard, it just couldn't be plugged in during the initial boot.

Maybe you know somebody that can lend you a PS2 keyboard and mouse for a minute? Neighbours or something. If you don't want to update under Windows.

He doesn't have to, all the info is there in my previous post. Just download the old one and during the intial boot leave the keyboard and mouse unplugged and when notified plug it back inin and it should work and enter the BIOS then just downgrade it.

Your student has to cool down, try another reboot and let his bios do any behind the scenes computations..and then finish. When he gets to his stable boot page he should look very carefully for any instructions or options that he may have. Take your time. There should be some, by the way most modern bios have backups for ops to work with.

Here is what the problem is. Unplug your keyboard and see if it reboots correctly...If so, then flash back to 1.0 lol. Someone had the same problem with the gen3 yesterday and my extreme 4 (not gen3) did the same thing with update 2.1

Alright. Wow. What an experience!

You know when they say "You just scared the S*** out of me!". That LITERALLY almost happened to me... That's why I was gone for so long. Rofl.

Alright so. I'm sorry first off for getting loud, scared, posting lots, and freaking out. Its just I read many stories and posts that you can "brick" ur mobo and such. Meaning if you mess with the bios and it screws up your mobo becomes like dead. A "brick" essentially. I just figured when I booted my computer and I couldnt enter bios, it wouldn't go to windows, and it looked frozen that it had "bricked".

I'm really glad that everyone here is super smart and could help me out in this stressful situation because playing with the BIOS is no joke... Really. I flashed my bios to unlock 100% fan speed on my GTX 570 and redownloaded the video drivers and had accidentally downloading a nvidia 3d sound driver and it took me forever to figure out why I had multiple echos going on with the sound.

I've now learned to really not touch the bios because it seems every time I've touch bios I've been getting screwed over and having things go wrong.

Thanks so much though everyone who helped me out.

So back to normal now. I have 1.00 version, keyboard and mouse work, everything looks fine. I'm back to stock stock stock settings. cleared the cmos and everything.

Now do we want to continue to overclock my CPU or should I just auto overclock to 4.6 and leave it because clearly I'm not too computer savvy I guess you could say...

I've gone back and deleted all my posts of me freaking out. Sorry guys again and thanks for the help!

EDIT: My bros keyboard worked. I guess razer products don't work with that bios update.
