Please correct me if im wrong.
Close. Not limited by reads, but there are limits on how many times that data can be written to an individual addressable sector. In earlier 32nm nand , that limit was 10K writes. With the 25nm nand currently in use by all major manufacturers, it is between 3-5K writes per.

Also, to the OP. The Vertex plus models are just the original Vertex series in which they have replaced the 32nm nand, with the much less durable...and cheaper to produce 25nm nand. These particular drives your asking about, do not have equal performance to the orginals. They are slower on read/writes by a fair margin. They tried to pawn one off on me to replace a original Vertex Turbo I had that failed last year. It was, in what at first glance appeared to be a Vertex Turbo casing. Except that the bottom cover was very different in design and color. It's performance was absolutely atrocious compared to the failed drive I'd sent in on RMA. 70 MB/s less on random read, & less than 1/2 the Turbo's write speeds. I won't touch anything OCZ after that, period. Nor obviously, would I recommend them.

Also, forgot to say that they won't degrade from reads...and they really don't from writes either. But, on the final write of their possible cycles, they will lock the data in place on that particular portion of the nand chip. This is moreso with MLC type nand memory, than SLC types. Though, i'm certain that SLC will do the same. SLC just has many, many more available write cycles that MLC nand does.
