$100 Gaming Headset

Looking at getting a new headset. Had the G35, LOVED it. Sold all my computer/gaming stuff.... and now just got back into it.

I have about a $100 budget. I mainly game, nothing else really....

Thanks in advance.

Audio Technica AD700. It will make the G35's sound like airline headphones, seriously. I had the G35's before, my $30 Koss Portapro's were a hell of a lot better for games than those horrible headphones.

I would get the AD700's and then get a sound card later when you have money. under $30, the best gaming sound card is the Creatice X-Fi XtremeGamer, under $50 its the refurb X-Fi Titanium HD from Amazon (Bought 4 of them so far for builds and they all arrived in like new condition working perfectly). Under $130 its the Titanium HD.

Thank you. The look nice....

BUT, I would prefer to have a mic on the set as well. Guess I should have stated that....

I'm going to keep an eye on this thread myself. Been looking for a new headset to replace my Turtle Beach DX11's.

It must have a mic as well. Preferably "5.1/7.1."

If you want to spend $100 on a piece of junk with a microphone attached to it go right ahead. The G35 is nothing more than complete junk. The sound quality is horrendous compared to the AD700's. Besides, a $10 Logitech desk microphone picks up my voice from 6 feet away and my friends hear my crystal clear on Skype. The quality is a hell of a lot better than any headset microphone.

The reason I am putting so much emphasis on these headphones is because I did not believe how good they were until I bought them. I've taken them to school a few times and made the Beats Studio bandwagoners hate me because the highs and mids sound so much better with these.

Same with you. Read the above post.

iLLGT3. I would look into getting a sound card and stay away from those 5.1/7.1 headsets. Best to get a headphones like recommended above and a separate mic. I own the adh700s and the mic i posted above and they sound amazing paired with my sound card.

What this guy said. I guarentee if you pair a nice $40 set of speakers with a XtremeGamer ($30) sound card it will sound better than those $250 turtle beach headsets. People don't realize how bad those sound until they get something with quality.

fits on there perfectly. Doesn't ever fall off even in the longest of gaming sessions.
