You can also check out techbargains.com. They have deals every now and then. Also, slickdeals.
What graphics card would you recommend? He plays A LOT of Mass Effect and Heroe's of Might and Magic (in fact he tells me he was #1 in his hometown back in Russia). And he's also been getting into shooters like Metro 2033 and Battlefield. He'll be playing them on a 1080p monitor. He's also studying graphic design so he'll be doing A LOT of photoshop. Any card suggestions around $200 or less (used is fine too) would be great.

Based on today's benchmarks and the collective groan on review site across the web looks like you won't be eating that 920 after all

Might be worth waiting for the 2700K if its near. If not I recommend these.

i5 2500K

ASUS P7P55D-E LX

Logitech MK550

ASUS VE208T

Corsair CX600

MSI N550GTX-Ti

HP DVD ROM Drive

CORSAIR XMS 6GB

Seagate Barracuda

And the left over money should cover shipping costs too.

Bump. Okay here's an update on everything. We don't need RAM, OS, monitor, or optical drive as those are already taken care of. However we will need a case again, since he decided to sell the case to me biggrin.gifthumb.gif, (for $150 only too!). So we have $1000 back in the budget. I'm wondering if it's possible to include an SSD in this build? Even if it's only 60-80gb. Here's a list of what we well need:

Case:
X58 Motherboard: (The ram he owns is triple channel, so we'll also need a 1366 CPU)
CPU:
SSD: (If possible)
Hard Drive:
GPU: (If the budget allows a 560ti, please include so)
PSU: (Modular if possible)

I know this is a pretty tight budget, but I'm hoping someone on here could help me. And rep well definitely be given out wink.gif. We plan on getting everything on Black Friday and maybe some stuff during December sales if we can't get everything this Friday. I got him covered with the OS, Windows 7 Ultimate Russian Language aaevil.gif. Some games he plays include Mass Effect, Starcraft, Diablo 3, Heroes of Might & Magic, Fifa 12, Elder Scrolls games, etc. He plays shooters but just not that much. Hopefully this gives you an idea of what he needs. Thanks for everyone here who has replied and helped me out. Thanks for everthing, much appreciated.

For similar money of the 1366 CPU/Mobo, he could get a 2500k, good OCing motherboard, and 8GB of DDR31600. I would advise against going the 1366 route at this point. The savings on already having the ram isn't really worth it since the processors are more expensive.

$190 Corsair 500R White + HX650 Modular PSU Combo Deal
$190 2500k (NCIX US)
$160 ASRock Extreme4 Gen3
$35 8GB DDR 3 1600 Corsair Vengeance (On sale atm)
$220 Gigabyte GTX560Ti 1GB

$205 remaining after this. If he isn't in dire need of HDD space, he could definitely get a decent 120/128GB SSD which could probably last him until HDD prices die down a bit.
