gtx 570 artifacts

Heres the issue i was having.

I just built a new PC from the ground up, i picked up an EVGA gtx 570 SC. I've been getting bad artifacting off the get go. I recently upped the voltage to 1.1 from 1.013 and running the EVGA OC scanner for 30 mins showed no artifacting. Is there just a case of more voltage needed or something more underlying and continue with my RMA for the card?

Honestly, I would just RMA it. You minds well start out with a perfect working card for the money you spent on it. You don't want this to turn into something later once your warranty period runs out.thumb.gif

Yeah, I have seen a lot of 570s come with inadequate voltage from the factory. You don't have to go crazy and raise it to 1.1v though. Try 1.025v and see it it solves the artifacting. If you need 1.1v to be stable at stock clocks, I would defintely RMA.

well i tried upping a little bit, i think upto 1.035 ish, and the artifacting was still there, so as a last ditch effort i just jumped right up to 1.1v after seeing a few people on the other forum having it set there and upping their core clock upto 950. and voila is seems fine. i still have 43 days left on the RMA number they gave me. But if you guys really think i should just RMA and get a good card off the hop then may as well. BTW i did raise my clock speeds up from stock when i upped the voltage to 927 core

seems EVGA released some new firmware today, after updating and backing off my voltage back to stock OC settings, my artifacts are now gone as well biggrin.gif
