Why do people continue to say that.

There's a huge difference between 60 fps, and 125 on the Quake Engine. Not only in terms of a smoother game.

They all make you jump higher, just depends on how you use the velocity that will make you jump further. Jumping is not the only advantage though, they're are many more.

@OP Have you tried just reinstalling DirectX ?

Yes. I even deleted the DirectX folder from the registry, and re-installed, but still nothing.

I kinda gave up and went to do a system restore, but just got errors, so that's out of the question. Only thing I can think of now is to re-install CoD4, but I don't know how much of a difference that will make.

Also, thank you for actual help, instead of trolling/debating.
