NEWS: It's not.
and I've been on the moon...
"I've been racing longer than most of the members on here have been alive" doesn't make your argument more valid than mine or his... because the world of video game is extremely different than what you experience in real life...
I've heard countless times "My Civic drives SO MUCH differently than in [such and such game]!!! it's SO UNREALISTIC!" ... well for one thing, you DO NOT drive YOUR CIVIC like you would drive in the said [such and such game] right?
how WOULD you know it's unrealistic when you've never pushed your own car to that limit under the same "perfect" in-game condition?
BECAUSE you DO NOT drive the SAME WAY you do in real life than in-game... there are multiple factors that dictate how your car would act differently... but because you WILL NOT be able to have the perfect world in a game in real life, and YOUR CIVIC is a different CIVIC than the CIVIC in the game... different tuning, different parts, different AGE, different maintenance, and different environment it's been in... in other words, the in-game Civic is a PERFECT car, whereas yours isn't... it's probably littered with flaws... HOW do you KNOW it is NOT realistic?
an experienced fighter pilot might not be the best combat flight simulation pilot... whereas the best in the world combat flight simulator (even ones AS REALISTIC as the DCS A-10 for example) pilot would puke once they sit in the cockpit of a real one...
it's a whole world of difference... and you CANNOT base how "realistic" or "unrealistic" it is from your personal "real world experience" (which in the end we don't even know if it's all there)
remember, while we're on the internet, we're all experienced race car drivers, astronauts who landed on the moon, soldiers who shot all kinds of weapons imaginable and is greatly experienced with all of them to the point we know all the facts by heart, and are expert on all other things in the world...
PS: I'm not saying you're wrong... I'm just saying there was no point in mentioning your experience, as it's an invalidated argument on the world called the INTERNETEdited by zedex - 10/6/11 at 1:28pm
