this has totally disillusioned me from the overclocking scene. not even minding the fact that fugger, vapor and skinnee are cheaters.

Oh wait, I know. AMD is really the very best at everything, if only Intel didn't cheat, and software was optimized, and and and...

I don't care what disadvantages AMD (or any other company) might face. If it doesn't perform in the software I use then it's of no use to me, no matter what it theoretically could if the stars align and hell freezes over.

the ignorant ones are those that look at the hardware only, and not the software, when evaluating overall performance.

completely ignoring the software optimization nuances in computer technology is epic.

fail.

maybe a few credits in computer uarch from berkeley will help?

no, you're not. i think they're fine. i think they help close the GIGANTIC gap that had appeared between AMD and Intel.

i'm not sure what people were expecting. as a gamer, it only really needs to be "good enough" at the right price. i need to see what the practical difference is between BD and SB, not these ridiculous benches.

waiting for better reviews, OC-ability, and passmark scores.

right now, i could see myself investing in an FX-4. but that could change. we'll see soon enough.

*edit* for people looking for JF-AMD's comments, he commented on the Bulldozer Blog thread. he said:

We'll have a range of products that meet different needs.

Kinda frustrating that people keep saying that BD isn't right for them because they think we only have an 8-core option. There will be other core counts.

No superpi in that article. Maybe you can't read.

But Cinebench Single Threaded is terrible. Actually, given the scores, FX is probably better in sPi than CB single threaded, lmao. Where's all the "superPi" is so biased people now? Also, the gaming score in the cpu bottle'd game. Can't remember which one. Bad performance though, especially given the clock speed(that go's for both).

We were trolled. I love AMD though, i like supporting them. But c'mon.
