Then you'd really really have to be an AMD fanboy to even consider buying Bulldozer

i'm sorry that flashing the "software optimization in bentmarks" and
"ICC crippling-AMD" cards are totally cramp you style, but such are the facts.
more of the same for the latter, w/c just quietly gets swept under the rug if not for RRR.

Well, now i am highly doubting even upgrading to bulldozer... as the numbers arent promising. BUT, i guess we will see as soon as they actually come out and see some real benchmarks

As long as it performs a lot better in games than current gen AMD CPU's then I will be buying...eventually. I'm still waiting until they are released to consider which Bulldozer chip I should get; I want to see how far all of them can OC.

For me at least, it's going to depend on the price of the 2600k after Bulldozer comes out. Should the 2600k come down to $250, then I'll probably get one of those. I'm going to start recording some of my clan's Battlefield 3 matches for recruitment videos and so 8 cores/threads are going to be needed. 2500k is obviously not going to work very well at playing the game and recording 1080p video at the same time since 2500k and other 4 core processors are getting pretty high usage at 1080p+ on Beta. So it'll be either be the 2600k or the 8150 for me.

To me, it's going to come down to price. I have an AM3 motherboard that supposedly will support Bulldozer with a BIOS update, so $230 is all I would need to go from my 955 to the 8150. In order for me to "go blue" with the 2600k, I would have to buy a new quality overclocking motherboard (assuming $150) and then the processor itself (perhaps they drop the price to $250). I'm paying over 40% more to go Intel.

So don't label us fanboys because we don't have money to burn like others do. I built my computer late last year in plans for making the switch to Bulldozer pretty easy, SB wasn't even out yet.

He was commenting that if Intel dropped the prices of the 2500K and 2600K to even consider BD you would have to be a fanboy and hes right.
