Like I said before these results aren't that bad. They're the results that were expected.
if the review in the OP was serious or credible they would have done more ... not only 3 lines to describe performance ... and btw they should have included proof of their claims + their actual testing method and so on ..

You can question the legitimacy of these benchmarks all you want, but in 6 days you will see for yourself when these results match those from Anandtech. Tell me, what new excuses will you give then?
Didn't you know that AMD jumped 4 gens in one chip and Intel being 10x the company doesn't know whats about to hit them? The the chip is so good its dirt cheap and has been delayed since I built my 965 machine two years ago? There will be nothing that touches FX it is the new benchmark! Ignore that it isn't a true 8 core but shares resources in the module so under load it will lose performance.

Jeez man you must be crazy.

I cant wait till Intel drops their six cores and AMD will have to go to 12 modules to compete.

I have said before and I will say it again, if it is close to the 2600K this is win and huge jump for AMD. It is a sweet price if it performs close to SB. And is right in that budget sector that AMD had told its shareholders, such as I, for years they have been targeting.

Sorry fanboys watch one brief with AMD they are targeting the budget sector. Somehow you guys think that means have the end all CPU. If you think that you will be dissapoint.

How can you say this is a huge jump for AMD?

It basically gets the same scores, in both single and multi-threaded, as an 1100T.

But the problem is, BD is an 8 core chip, vs a 6 core, and it's also clocked higher.

If you downclocked it to match the 1100T's 3.3Ghz stock speed, BD would LOSE to it. And BD has 2 more "cores"!

I am in the same boat as another poster previously, I waited to see if BD was worth the wait to upgrade, and now, it looks like I wasted my time...

seems the norm there for their reviews?here is their A8-3850 review and its pretty sparce on info just like that BD one today.so who knows
http://www.pcmweb.nl/tags/amd/a8-3850

as you can see in the Zuinig en rap! section the same format for benchmark numbers are used

lol yes. i see more than a waste of time, but some gray matter too.
all these explanation i did about software optimization since this post,
and i dont think one person learned a bit.

well, at least for me i can say my understanding of cpu uarchitecture has progressed ever since i made this inquiry.

hopefully, the past few posts do not represent the average intellect in this forum?

This is an honest question posed to you. I understand that software can be coded like garbage and therefore certain CPUs get the nod performancewise.

Would you not want the most powerful CPU on the market to chew through all of the garbage unoptimized code? Most apps are still single threaded affairs (not in gaming) so you would care about single threaded performance right? AMD hasn't held this crown in years.
