so, win7 scheduler is borked for BD.
only win8 will yield actual performance figures;
specially in cpu-intensive tasks.

I saw that chart earlier, other than LFD2 the improvements are 1 - 4 FPS. Do they have more examples?

this, but i cant tell if its win7 or win8;
if its win7, then the scheduler is screwing the runs.

"Finally, even the cpu-intensive game Far Cry 2. We run a loop on a full-HD with all settings at maximum and direct X 10 on. The AMD FX-8150 renders an average of 111 fps and a minimum of 23 fps. I7 126 fps compared to 965 puts it, and a minimum of 75.2 fps. Here you see a bit more powerful Intel cores than AMD."

Clearly Ubisoft hates AMD!!!

most i7 2600k overclock about 4.5-4.6ghz with HT.(i'm walking about air btw) so if a FX8150 can do 5ghz @1.47v on air then its safe to say when both are overclocked the fx8150 will have better performance than the 2600k?

Not really the 2600k turbo to 3.8 while the fx8150 turbo to 4.2, thats 400 mhz difference.

So a 4.6 ghz HT 2600k overclock will likely equal to a 5ghz BD overclock in multi threaded applications since the article stated its performance is somewhere between a 2500k and 2600k.

leave the trolling out, kid. we can have discussions without juvenile emotional outbursts, can we?

we'll have to see about that anomaly, 23fps min, when 1090T is 55fps.

Yeah, I'm the one trolling. BTW, I'm not a kid.

EDIT: BTW, I have nothing against Bulldozer; check out my first post in this thread. But I get kinda annoyed at people like you who are blindly clinging to concepts such as "bentmarks" (kinda juvenile, right?). It doesn't matter if benchmarks, games and apps are optimized for one or the other chip. What matters is performance - does it deliver or not? Consumers don't care what disadvantages a company might face. We just care about results. So let's try to stick to results and not hypotheticals okay?

I agree this looks like a software hiccup. I seriously doubt the 23fps accurately represents the FX 8150 performance.
