Now it's 1155 vs AM3+, AMD continues to have no answer for Intel's high end socket nor can it combat Intel's per core dominance.

I once had a "future-proofed" 1090T, I'll never buy into that line again.
Yeah but Intel is a greedy company that tried to "cripple" poor ol' AMD so you have to buy slower processors from AMD to show your support....

You're right it's not legal, intel paid that Billion+ settlement already. I don't hear AMD whining or moaning about it any more, why can't you guys let go something that happened 10 years ago? Get over it. It's not like they're doing those same shady dealings today.

If anything I've heard more shadiness come from AMD recently, or do you approve insider training? There's been more then one case of this behavior.

Why have so many CEO's and execs left AMD recently?

That still won't stop me from buying AMD, now or in the future.

Been said a million times and is never going to happen. Prices are not going up. 1155 is Mainstream meaning no thousand dollar processors, no high end things.

I can't believe people are still making such a fuss over the amd intel law suit. get over it guys, intel did something shady, amd sued and got a lot of money. That was ten years ago. AMD has had more than enough time to since then prove themselves. But they haven't

Prices will go up? Performance will stagnate?

AMD hasn't been competitive with Intel's midrange and high end for half a decade now, and I fail to see where prices have increased or performance has stagnated.

Core 2 Quad Q6600: $266
Core i5 760: $200
Core i7 920: $284
Core i5 2500K: $200
Core i7 2600K: $300

Each successive generation has delivered higher performance at around the same price. If that's not innovation to you, I don't know what is.

If you think about it, that money probably went into designing bulldozer.

You think it's going to cost as much as them too? This is where AMD gets my money, by performing on level with some of Intel's higher end CPUs for a much smaller price tag.

I think the difference here is i dont care what intel do im happy with the products i buy and the performance they give im not the one moaning about it!, Its really pathetic that some of you guys can moan about what computer parts you buy based on how manufacturers go about making money when you obviously dont take this into account for every other product you buy from toilet paper to beer

blah blah intel demons yes i hear it alot from you amd fanboys around here but seriously who cares! your a very small minority and intel own 80+ percent market share becuase there business strategy
is obviously better than amd's and dare i say they sell a better product

This isn't AMD delivering, their initial prices are meant to gouge their own fans... After a few months you will see prices drop on AMD's new products to fit the "price vs performance" niche.
Honestly, where is per-core most beneficial to your average user?

For gamers, it is a valuable asset (hey look, I have SB too) to have.

Honestly, even Phenom was more than enough power for 90+ % (and seriously, I am not going to back this up with fact or stats...don't be a douche) of the users out there.

For the guys/gals on OCN, per core or total performance domination is a priority, but we are a minority.

These aren't excuses from a fanboy for either side of the fence, these is a common sense look at BD.

It never ceases to amaze me how there is about 5 die hard Intel fanboys that thread-crap on any BD thread (I would call you guys out by name, but most of you will be within a page or 2 of this post and are easy to spot). And then there are the AMD fanboys (you guys know who you are too) who are trying skewing the argument the other way and doing their own form of thread-crapping.

The whole thing plays out like a bad Fox News show... so while it can be mildly entertaining to see both sets of extremists fighting for the biggest turd thrown, at the end of the day...you guys are just a bunch of turd throwing zealots and nobody but the egos of the fanboys get anything from the conversation.

I see, so now we all know your hate viewpoint along with your oh so clever put downs, just like the last 100 times you felt the need to share that useless crap with an audience that does not care.

So, what do you call somebody who has no intentions of buying a product, yet haunts threads about said product day after day spouting useless crap and hurling blanket insults aimed at a large portion of the members here?
